Give this a go - hope it plays OK- it was a bit stop start on my PC.

A beautiful song written mostly by Martin Simpson, based on a few lines that his friend the jazz guitarist Martin Taylor wrote about the suicide of his son.

Sal, that is such a great way to look at the situation. Got someone in my life who is FULL of negative vibes, she makes me want to beat my head against the wall. But, yea, at the end of the day i'm blessed because she carries that misery with her and i have the power to shrug it off. Beautiful! You made a lightbulb go on over my head, Sal, thank you!! And, yes, i always sing "Negative Vibes" after i have contact with her, don't know what i'd do without it!

Sal what are you like.lol
My booty's needing work but it aint gonna happen before 18th march. He''l have to take me as he finds me and no innuendo intended.
Do you seriously listen to that stuff? It's pretty hard to watch. see i am 47 and remember what feminism was supposed to be about. breaks my heart to see how young women devalue themselves

a wee bit of controversy

I can feel a Harry hill fight coming on- Joni versus Lady Gaga.

Come on Sal, open your mind to the majesty of Joni

Her song The Magdalene Laundries. She gave her own wee baby away to the nuns in Canada

Ah Sal, It was a more innocent age. At the height of punk I was 14 and an an idiot hippy. My best pal was a souxsie lookalike and a few years later she had no one to go see The Fall with. Easy to see why, they are bloody shite. Anyway, I went with her in my long dress and my afghan coat. What a sight, as my mother frequently said. I did not get lynched but the vibe was not good. Sitting crosslegged on the floor, getting in people's way.

I did get to like the Pistols as a more mature person. Hehehe.

Pour Toi Sal.....

Thanks Sal, I love Christy too!
been on a wee downer today, anticlimax and wondering if I will ever see damo again.... sigh, swoon, weeep... roll on the new album.
So I had a wee look for Glasgow gigs and guess what, Christy's wee brother Luka Bloom is playing Oran Mor on 10th June. Now that is very fortuitous as it is the 19th anniversary of the first date me and hubs ever had! And i love Luka and I saw Damo for the first time in that venue bla bla bla. I can make a connection to Damo from anywhere. It drives my kids mad.
So here is a lovely Luka song for you Sal.
I know nothing about Christian rituals but it is such a lovely song. Just as good is 'Sunday' from Eleven Songs but I could not find a youtube link.

Hi Sal, I too am missing the buzz. Even dare I say it the arguments, though not the nasty ones.
I was trying to come up with something a wee bit provocative for the Jukebox but to no avail.
What are we going to do until Damo's new album sigh.......
I am away to youtube for some research.

Since Damo seems to have an anti war theme going on in the new song here are some favourites of mine.

The wonderful Mr Tom Lehrer http://www.youtube.com/w...1Dc&feature=related

The wonderful Mr Robert Wyatt http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9Y-qPQoFzk

Sal's favourite hippy trio - I could
hear Damo covering this one http://www.youtube.com/w...n9k&feature=related

Billy Bragg - makes me cry still and
how the f@@k did that get on TOTP http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjUA3RU4B8E

More Billy Bragg - goosebumps http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXVWMJIO3iI
